Description

The purpose of this modification is to respond to Questions from vendors submitted by the question submission deadline. Questions and Answers (Solicitation VA249-16-Q-0156) Question: 1. "In the SOW, Section 1, this indicates the contractor is responsible for sample collection. In the SOW, Section 6, this indicates that VAMC Memphis is responsible for sample collection. Is the contractor responsible for sample collection or will the clinic collect the samples?" Answer: The VA Medical Center will collect the sample and send to respected facility. The vendor is not responsible. Question: 2. "Concerning transportation of the samples/collection kit to the contractor lab, can we provide a FedEx Express Label for this purpose? Also, can we add a line item for the shipping cost or does this need to be added to the testing costs?" Answer: Yes, we can ship via FEDEX. Add shipping costs to the testing cost. Question: 3. Concerning the Colony Count Test, which test is required: 1- RD52&RD62 48 hour test method? 2- 13959 & 11663 48 hour test method? Or 3- 13959 & 11663 7 day test method? ( requires preliminary reports on day 2, 3 & 5) Answer: We prefer AAMI Standards testing 13959 & 11663 48 Hour method. Question: 4. Does the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation under solicitation number VA24916Q0156 contain requirements similar to a current contract? If possible, please provide the current contract number. Or, is this a new requirement for the government? Answer: This is a new requirement. Please note: The time frame for submitting questions in regards to this solicitation has closed. The closing date and time was December 17, 2015 at 4:00PM CST - NO FURTHER QUESTIONS WILL BE ADDRESSED.
