- Invitation for Bid DACA65-B-16-05 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale one(1) item of timber on approximately 185 acres within two(2) separate blocks located at Raven Rock Mountain Complex as part of Fort Detrick, Maryland. 185 acres of timber will be harvested in Adams County, PA of which approximately the following volumes of standing timber is designated for removal within the delineated timber sale area in Management Units 01 & 05: Hardwood Volumes in item 1 TIMBER ON PARCEL MU-01 (115 ACRES) Improvement Harvest-Saw Logs in board feet 138,392 bf Pulpwood in Tons 2,040 Tons TIMBER ON PARCEL MU-05 (70 ACRES) Crop Tree Release-Saw Logs in board feet 75,533 bf Pulpwood in Tons 1,440 Tons The contract shall run from official Notice to Proceed and Performance Deposit collection through until September 30, 2016 This timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers ON December 18, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Friday December 18, 2015, by the Chief, Real Estate Office, ATTN: CENAO-RE-D, U.S. Army Engineer District, Norfolk, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1011, then and there publicly opened. Forms for use in submitting bids are attached in this posting you will find and Invitation for Bid pdf file.
