- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Center for Surveillance, Epidemiology and Laboratory Services (CSELS) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order to Thomson Reuters, 1500 Spring Garden, Philadelphia, PA 19130. The purpose of the acquisition is to acquire site licenses and support for the EndNote desktop edition citation management software. The EndNote software provides the ability for the user to manage large numbers of bibliographic citations and associated information in a standard interface and includes numerous data import and export formats, as well as the ability to perform database searches from inside the software. It can also allow synchronization with other EndNote users (latest version X7.4). This software can interact with Microsoft Word to allow for the easy inclusion of EndNote references in Word documents. This software is proprietary to Thomson Reuters. Thomson Reuters is the only vendor to offer this specific software product. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b) (1) - only one source reasonably available. No solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpps. We will only issue a solicitation to Thomson Reuters. CDC believes that Thomson Reuters is the only source available to provide this service that meets mission critical requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for proposal. A determination to compete this procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet this requirement. All responses must be sent in writing to Mr. Philip Robinson via email to kkq4@cdc.gov using solicitation number 2016-Q-64626 in the subject line, no later than 4:00pm Eastern Time, January 20, 2016.
