- Invitation for Bid DACA65-B-16-07 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale two (2) items of timber on approximately 146 acres total located within Fort A.P. Hill, Bowling Green, VA 22427 of which approximately the following volumes to be harvested: The sale is per unit and harvested timber will be sold by WEIGHT. Item 1 - TIMBER ON 1 BLOCK TOTAL (95 ACRES) PINE SAWTIMBER -- 1892 Tons PINE CHIP N SAW - 887 Tons PINE PULPWOOD - 1914 Tons HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER - 1218 Tons HARDWOOD PULPWOOD - 1161 Tons Tons of Chips (optional) - 318 Tons Item 2 - TIMBER ON 2 BLOCKS TOTAL (51 ACRES) PINE SAWTIMBER -- 854 Tons PINE CHIP N SAW - 851 Tons PINE PULPWOOD - 1126 Tons HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER - 230 Tons HARDWOOD PULPWOOD - 375 Tons Tons of Chips (optional) - 255 Tons Item one (1) - Due to timber harvesting restrictions the timber within this must be removed by April 15, 2016. Item two (2) -.Due to timber harvesting restrictions the timber within block 2 part 2 of must be removed by April 15, 2016. Timber may be inspected by prospective purchasers ON THURSDAY January, 28 2016 AND FRIDAY January 29, 2016 BEGINNING AT 10:00 a.m. EACH MORNING. ALL AVAILABLE ITEMS WILL BE SHOWN BOTH DAYS. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Thursday February 4, 2016 by Acquisition, Management, and disposal section, real estate office, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, VA, and then opened publicly. Forms for use in submitting bids are attached within this posting as an Invitation For Bid link as a pdf file.
