- FAR 52.212-4 FAR 52.212-1 FAR 52.232-40 FAR 52.204-18 FAR 52.204-16 FAR 52.203-99 FAR 52.203-98 FAR 52.212-5 This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 "Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items," as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation document will not be issued. Submit offers on RFQ-RML-C-1771132. This solicitation is a request for quotes (RFQ).The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC# 2005-85, 01/04/2016. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 332999 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. This is not a total small business set aside. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Rocky Mountain Laboratories, is seeking to purchase eighteen (18) Socialization Racks for Bats. These racks must be autoclavable and meet the following specifications: Specifications - Socialization Racks for Bats: •One-Over-One Configuration that allows for horizontal pairing. •Overall height of rack must be no more than 82-1/2" to pass through an 82-3/4" tall door opening. •Overall dimensions of the rack must be no more than 35"wide x 35" deep. •Each cage floor area should be no more than 6.25 sq. ft. •Interior height of each cage should not be more than 32". •Rack must be supported on autoclavable Casters no larger than 5" Dia. X 2" wide wheels, sealed stainless steel bearings. Front casters must have Brakes. •All metal components must be #304 stainless steel in order to be autoclavable. •Hinged Doors should be constructed of stainless steel Wire Mesh and no more than ½" diameter rod with ½" x ½" •Cage doors need to be horizontal sliding with no more than ½" x ½" Wire Mesh. •Primary frame members need to be fabricated of no more than 1/8" thick stainless steel plate. •Back of cages should be fabricated of a minimum of 16 gauge stainless steel sheet metal. •"Under Cage" waste pans need to be included and removable •Cages should include a trough drainage system for top cage sanitation. •The caster base frame must be fabricated of square stainless steel tube no larger than 1-1/2". •Water and Food Troughs need to be included and must be removable. •Socialization Panels should be fully removable on both right and left side of cages. •Divider Panels should be removable and no more than ½" x ½" of stainless steel Wire Mesh. •Cages should include attachment hooks to allow enrichment devices to be mounted to ceilings. •All units need to be bead blasted to a matte finish and latches need to be protected from process. By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchasing agreement resulting from this solicitation (www.sam.gov). This is an open-market combined synopsis/solicitation for eighteen (18) Socialization Racks for Bats as defined herein. The government intends to award a purchase order as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation that will include the terms and conditions set forth herein. To facilitate the award process all quotes should include a statement regarding the terms and conditions herein as follows: "The Terms and conditions in the solicitation are acceptable to be included in the award document without modification, deletion or addition." OR "The terms and conditions in the solicitation are acceptable to be included in the award document with the exception, deletion, or addition of the following:" (Quoter shall list exception(s) and rationale for the exception(s).)
