Description

This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number VA119A-16-R-0063 is issued for this combined synopsis/solicitation; this solicitation is being issued as a Request for proposal (RFP). This solicitation is being conducted under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This combined synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-83 dated 02 July 2015. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 562111 - for Solid Waste Collection. The The size standard is $38.5M. Product and Service code (PSC) S205 Trash/Garbage Collection Services. This procurement is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-aside. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 13. Award will be based on the lowest price technically acceptable quote. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Hines Information, and Technology Center (HITC) located at 1st Avenue North of 22nd Street, Building 215, Hines, IL has a requirement for recycling containers and pick-up services.
