Description

This is a Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price contract to Strathmore Hall, located at 10701 Rockville, MD 20852-3224 under the basis of authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements for rental of venue in support of the United States Marine Band (USMB). The USMB has been tasked to present a series of free public concerts in the Washington metropolitan area. The Strathmore Performing Arts Center best meets the organization's venue and scheduling requirements. The period of performance is 14 Mar 2016. The Strathmore Performing Arts Center is necessary in order to meet the combined requirements for a series of convenient, available multiple performance dates, public accessibility for the Washington metropolitan area target population, acoustics, hall size, and audience seating. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
