SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL-SPECIALIST MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE FA46646008A001 INTRODUCTION: In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.215-3, "Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes", this Sources Sought (SS) Notice/Request for Information (RFI) is for market research and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Government. PURPOSE: March ARB is conducting market research and seeking written responses with information to assist the Government in identifying potential sources that are interested and capable of performing the work as outlined below in the Requirement and Scope, to provide interested parties with a description and basic understanding of the prospective nature of work required. REQUIREMENT AND SCOPE: The 452 nd Operational Contracting Office has a potential requirement for the Air Traffic Control-Specialist Medical Examinations to be performed at March Air Reserve Base, California (March ARB) for an estimated period of 5 years (one base year, plus four (4) 12-month Options. The physician who provides medical services under this contract shall possess a current license to practice medicine in California, must have graduated from an accredited medical school and have completed a residency program approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals, and have a current Aviation Medical Examiner's (AME) certification and be qualified to perform Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) medical examinations. With respect to the audiogram, the audiograms must be administered by an individual certified by the Council of Accreditation on Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC). Technicians who perform audiograms must be responsible to an audiologist or physician. The provider must possess a valid current license to practice medicine in California. The Contractor shall provide all medical personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision and other items and services necessary in providing a comprehensive air traffic control - specialist examination services for the DOD civilian personnel assigned at March ARB, CA. The Contractor will ensure that all services will be executed at the Contractor's premises or within the Contractor's network of facilities (affiliate or qualified subcontractor) which must be located within a 50-mile radius of March ARB, CA (zip code 92518 ). Further, the Contractor will perform the following types of medical surveillance examinations: Pre-placement, Periodic, Special Purpose, Termination, Fitness-for-Duty, Audiograms and Pulmonary Function Tests. Additional examinations may be provided by the contractor physician and coordinated/approved with the Government authorized representative. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 621111, Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists). Responses to this sources sought notice must include a company capability statement that addresses how they can meet the Government's requirement; company's socioeconomic status under the identified NAICS (if applicable); and company DUNS and CAGE codes (as applicable). DISCLAIMER: This SS/RFI notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or obligation on the part of the Government. Per FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not considered offers, shall not be used as a proposal, and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents; however, the Government does reserve the right to contact any respondent to obtain additional information.
