Description
Solicitation W9127N-16-B-0004 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Portland District intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) No. W9127N-16-B-0004 for Columbia River Clamshell Maintenance Dredging 2016. Dredging work will take place at 2 locations along the Columbia River: Bonneville and Longview. A clamshell dredge and barge or scow will be required for the work contained in this contract. All of the work is maintenance dredging. Bradford Island Fish Ladder Exit is located at Bonneville Dam Powerhouse 1 Forebay, Cascade Locks, Oregon. The anticipated scope within this contract will include dredging and placement of 750 to 1,000 cubic yards of material. Disposal material will become the Contractor's property to dispose of in accordance with local laws and regulations. An interim completion date of February 24, 2016 will be enforced at this location. The environmental in-water work window is December 1 through February 28. Longview Turning Basin is located at River Mile 67, Longview, Washington. The anticipated scope within this project will include dredging and placement of approximately 3,500 to 4,000 cubic yards of material with placement in-water in the Columbia River within ten miles (one-way). The environmental in-water work window for this quantity can be at any time. Payment method will be by pre-post survey. Project depths will be determined in the solicitation. The most recent surveys for Longview can be viewed at: http://www.nwp.usace.army.mil/Missions/Navigation/Surveys.aspx A 2015 Bonneville survey can be made available with the solicitation. The solicitation will be available for download in early January 2016 with bids due approximately 30 days after issuance. Contract award is anticipated during the first half of February 2016. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990. The small business size standard is $27.5 million.
