Description
A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for a cook to prepare the meals for a crew of about 15 personnel on the M/V JC Thomas during any trip requiring more than one day of travel. A cook will remain aboard the vessel from time of departure until the vessel reaches a specified job site or returns to its homeport of Louisville, KY. The departure and arrival dates could change due to unforeseen weather and river conditions, i.e. fog, high water. One day prior to departure the cook will plan menus for 3 meals per day, inventory current stock in pantry and freezer, prepare grocery list for the planned menu and shop for the groceries with one of the Visa card holders from the Louisville Repair Station. The cook's day will begin at 4 a.m. each day to allow breakfast to be served at 5:30a.m., lunch at 11:30a.m., and dinner/supper at 5:30 p.m. each full day. The crew eats in two shifts - the crew going on watch and the crew coming off watch. The cook's day will end at approximately 2000. The cook may set the table for the serving of the meals, serve the meal, clear dishes from table after each meal and wash the dishes/pots and pans used in the preparation of the meals. Maintain the cleanliness of the galley. Contract duration is estimated at 1 April 2016 - 31 March 2017. NAICS code is 722310. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email no later than 31 January 2016 05:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Responses should include: 1. Identification and verification of the company's small business status. 2. Contractor's DUNs Number(s) and CAGE Code(s). 3. Descriptions of Experience - Interested firms must provide no more than three (3) example projects completed in the past five (5) years where the interested firm served as the prime contractor. Each project must include the name, title, project role, e-mail address, and telephone number of at least one reference. References may be used to verify project size, scope, dollar value, percentages and quality of performance. Example projects must be of similar size and scope. a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: Meal preparation on River Vessel. b. Projects similar in size to this project include: Meal Prep for approximately 15 personnel. NOTE: Total submittal package shall be no longer than 8 pages. Please only include a narrative/project details of the requested information; additional information will not be reviewed.
