Description
On 19 January 2016, the USAF's Non-DoD Military Aircraft Office (NDMAO) will begin accepting requests for initial discussions with the potential of leading to the establishment of Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) between the USAF and potential Industry Collaborators. Please submit your requests for participation to the USAF Airworthiness Mailbox at usaf.airworthiness.office@us.af.mil. Your request for participation should include the following information: Email Subject Line: " NDMA Participation Request - <Project title>" Body of Email: Industry Collaborator/Company: Collaborator Mailing Address: Project Title: Collaborator Points of Contact / Phone / Email addresses : •· Project POC: •· Technical POC: ******Please do not include any detailed technical information with your participation request. ****** Upon NDMAO receipt of your request for participation, the NDMAO will reply to the Collaborator's Project POC with a process flow and a questionnaire, along with instructions for completion and submittal of the completed questionnaire. The completed questionnaire and subsequent discussions between the NDMAO and the potential collaborator will enable the NDMAO to scope the work effort required to establish a project assessment basis and to develop a draft CRADA. In order to assure uniform consideration, all requests for participation will be addressed on a first come, first served basis. NDMAO p roject efforts will be prioritized based upon submittal of acceptable quality completed questionnaires, e.g., first come first served if two questionnaires of acceptable quality are received. In a ll cases, the NDMAO may limit the number of assessments or in-process efforts at any point in time due to manpower availability. NOTE: While the Air Force has been conducting technical airworthiness assessments of aircraft designs for years, the assessment of NDMA is a new transformational effort instituted to assist the American aerospace industry. Be aware that the initial NDMA assessments may take longer than original projections to ensure the Air Force process integrity requirements are maintained as we lean forward to standardize this new work with industry.
