Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Otis ANGB, MA, intends to issue a sole source five year contact with George T. Wilkerson, Inc for the mechanical maintenance of 4 industrial boilers. The contractor is the manufacturer's authorized service provider. Two Bryan boilers, one model number CLM120-S-150-GI and model number F650-S-150-GI, that are used as a "Process" boiler producing steam for use by the different functions in the facility, such as autoclave operation, food preparation etc.; Two Hydrotherm KN Series Boilers, a KN 10 and a KN 20, used for building heat. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
