Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), National Veterinary Science Lab (NVSL), Ames, Iowa, intend to issue a sole source five year contract with Mesa Monitoring Inc., Lakewood, CO, for a service agreement on the AmegaView System components and software. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The AmegaView centralized monitoring system and its components are the sole intellectual property rights for the hardware, firmware and software. Mesa Monitoring is the only company authorized and capable of servicing preventive maintenance, and providing parts for the AmegaView system. Parts are not available to any other servicing company; there are no authorized service centers. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
