- Consolidated Additional Provisions and Clauses Combined Synopsis/Solicitation IAW FAR 12.6 SUMMARY See Attachment for Complete Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Prepared IAW Format at FAR 12.6 AFTC/PZRA at Edwards AFB, CA is contemplating an award for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). This purchase is subject to the availability of funds. The requirement is for the following commercial items: Quantity (1) - Large Heated Press Quantity (1) - Printed Large Heated Press Operating Manual The Large Heated Press must meet the following minimum technical specifications: •· Heated press in four post configuration that will be used for the compression molding of rubbers and composite materials •· Capable of applying 150 tons of force via hydraulic system •· Platens that are 30 inches per side (900 square inches) fabricated from hardened steel •· 22 inches of open daylight •· Electrically heated platens capable of maintaining temperatures between 212 and 800 degrees Fahrenheit (100 to 427 degrees Centigrade) •· Closed loop control of force and temperature with capability to control force and temperature ramp rates •· Automated platen cooling using water •· Operator touch screen interface •· Programmable controller capable of storing a minimum of four recipes at eight segments each •· Two-hand press opening and closing safety function
