- Description
- The AFTC Installation Contracting Division/PZIOAD, Eglin AFB FL, intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for the maintenance of sixteen high-impact accelerometers IAW FAR 13.106-1(a)(1)(iii) and 13.106-1(b) to Agilent Technologies, Inc., 5301 Stevens Creek Blvd., Santa Clara CA 95052-8059. Anticipated award date is 22 January 2016. The Air Force Research Laboratory, High Explosives Research and Development (HERD) facility conducts R&D characterization testing on explosive materials utilizing an Agilent Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) with Liquid Chromatograph. Agilent Technologies is the sole manufacturer and provider of maintenance/repair for its systems and has not authorized any party other than its factory trained service engineers to service the equipment. Other sources were considered but the cost to replace the ICP-MS with auto-sampler and HPLC is approximately $215,178.00. This requirement is for: CLIN 0001 : ICP-MS 7500 Single Turbo System, Crosslab Silver; Agilent 7500ce ICP-MS; ASX-500 Series Auto Sampler Maintenance CLIN 1001 : ICP-MS 7500 Single Turbo System, Crosslab Silver; Agilent 7500ce ICP-MS; ASX-500 Series Auto Sampler Maintenance Option Year One CLIN 2001 : ICP-MS 7500 Single Turbo System, Crosslab Silver; Agilent 7500ce ICP-MS; ASX-500 Series Auto Sampler Maintenance Option Year Two This maintenance will be conducted at: 2306 Perimeter Road, Suite 9, Eglin AFB, FL 32542-5904 no later than 22 January 2016 on an FOB Origin basis. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 811219, small business size standard: 20.5 million dollars. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. No solicitation package will be issued. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement in the future is in the best interest of the Government. All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the items/services required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror's capability to provide these items/services. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Response and questions shall be submitted electronically to justin.brown.42@us.af.mil.
