Description
GSA Change to add a Health IT Special Item Number (SIN) on Schedule 70 Request for Information (RFI) The General Services Administration's (GSA) Information Technology (IT) Schedule 70 would like to thank all of the vendors who responded to GSA Proposed Change to add a Health IT Special Item Number (SIN) on Schedule 70 Request for Information (RFI) released on June 16, 2015. Vendor inputs, feedback, and questions that were received have been valuable and informative, helping with the decision to move forward with the creation of the IT Schedule 70 Health IT SIN. IT Schedule 70 has decided to move forward with the SIN creation and is committed to excellence in service and support. The team will remain diligent in its efforts to avoid process duplication and clearly differentiate the products and services associated with the new Health IT SIN from current IT offerings. To ensure efficient processes for vendors and stakeholders, GSA IT Schedule 70 will work closely with Industry and our customers while finalizing the new Health IT SIN. The SIN will increase visibility and access of Health IT computing services to customer agencies, and provide industry partners the opportunity to differentiate their Health IT services from other IT related products and services. This effort would support the Federal Health IT strategic plan to expand adoption of Health IT, advance secure health information and strengthen health care delivery. This RFI is designed to collect feedback from industry and other relevant stakeholders on the new Health IT SIN. The SIN scope and description is identified in the attached document.
