- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement to replace current UPS equipment at the Administrative United States Penitentiary (AUSP) located in Thomson, Illinois. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 335999 (Size Standard: 500 Employees). The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The supplies will consist of Smart Online Double-Conversion UPS's, External Rack/Tower Battery Packs for the Double-Conversion UPS's, Smart Racks, Rack-Mount Installation Kits. (Further details will be provided in the SOW, if solicited.) The delivery of all supplies will be at one location, outside the secure perimeter fence and will be coordinated with the Facilities Department. All parts will be installed by AUSP Thomson. A Government solicitation document to provide these supplies is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Market Survey Questionnaire will be available on or about January 20, 2016, and will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The response date for the market survey is February 16, 2016. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone or written requests for the market survey will be accepted. All responses to the Market Survey Questionnaire may be submitted in hard copy to U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, U. S. Armed Forces Reserve Complex, 346 Marine Forces Drive, Grand Prairie, TX 75051, Attn: LaShundra Thomas, Contracting Officer.
