- Description
- The work required herein is for Quality Assurance (QA) Inspection Services of USACE Portland District Construction, Service, and/or Supply Contracts. Portland District Contracts typically include civil works and dredging. The work to be performed will support Construction Branch missions managed by Portland District. Work may be performed in Washington, Oregon, and California. QA Representatives will be requested on an as-needed basis to provide inspection services of the work performed by the construction contractors. Portland District's Civil Works mission is varied and wide-ranging. Its multi-purpose projects provide benefits for navigation, flood risk management, hydropower production, fish and wildlife, environmental stewardship, recreation, irrigation and municipal water supply. Portland District also manages federal environmental missions including restoring degraded ecosystems; stream restoration; constructing sustainable facilities; regulating waterways; managing natural resources; and cleaning up contaminated sites from past military activities. Task Orders issued under this contract will not include requirements for shop drawing review, evaluation of construction methods, or interpretation of plans and specifications. This performance work statement will require inspection of work, safety and Contractor operations. Inspectors will produce reports of findings, and submit them to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
