Description
AMENDMENT 1 NOTE: The approximately 909 cubic yards stated below should be 909,000 cubic yards. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office has a future requirement for Corpus Christi Ship Channel, Texas, In Nueces County, Texas - Hopper Dredging, Entrance Channel. This project requires the contractor to perform maintenance dredging of the CCSC, Texas, Entrance Channel in Nueces County, Texas, approximately 909 cubic yards and three (3) Options involving approximately 52,000 cubic yards. Completion time for Schedule No. 1 is 50 calendar days. There are three (3) Options. If Option number 1 is exercised it will add 10 calendar days, to the contract. No additional days will be added for the exercised of Option No. 2 or 3, to the contract. The estimated award date for this project is 20 Apr 2016. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award. The contractor shall begin dredging within (10) calendar days after acknowledgement of the Notice to Proceed. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $1,816.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The order of magnitude for this effort is estimated between $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. The estimated award date for this project is 20 Apr 2016. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award. The contractor shall begin work within (10) calendar days after acknowledgement of the Notice to Proceed. The Government contemplates awarding a Firm-Fixed Price contract. This will be a Unrestricted procurement. This synopsis is not an obligation of the Government and all information sent in is voluntary. The Solicitation will be issued on or about 11 February 2016. Solicitation Number: W9126G-16-B-0011 Agency: Department of the Army Office: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Location: USACE District, Galveston Response date is targeted for 22 March 2016 @ 2:00 PM, Central Time. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million. The Small Business Subcontracting Goals are as follows: Small Business 50%, Small Disadvantage Business 17%, Women-Owned Small Business 18%, Hub-zone 10%, Veteran Owned Small Business 8,5% and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business 4%. To be considered small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 51 percent of the work with its own equipment.
