Description
Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) is conducting market research to determine the interest and capability of industry vendors in providing commercially available mooring chains and accessories in various quantities and sizes for a potential 5 year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract. The required mooring items and acceptable specifications are as follows: ITEM SPECIFICATION CJL, Baldt-style ABS3, FM3, MIL-SPEC-DTL-2710B AJL, Baldt-style ABS3, FM3, MIL-SPEC-DTL-2710B Chain, stud link ABS3, ABS R3, ABS R3S, FM3 Spider Plate FM3 Pear Link FM3 Plate Shackle FM3 Ground Ring FM3 Swivel Shackle FM3 Sizes of items that may be required are: 1.50, 1.75, 2.00, 2.50, 2.75, 3.00, and 3.50 inch. Please be advised that Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) clause 252.225-7019, Restriction on Acquisition of Anchor and Mooring Chain, will be included in any future solicitation. All businesses, including small businesses, service-disabled Veteran-owned small businesses, Veteran-owned small businesses, certified HUB-Zone small businesses, and certified 8(a) concerns are encouraged to respond. Interested sources should provide the following information: 1) Company name, address and CAGE code. 2) Point of contact phone number and e-mail. 3) Business size and socioeconomic classification. 4) Description and technical specifications of the mooring items listed above that you are capable of manufacturing. 5) Documentation that the manufacturing facility and/or equipment used in the manufacturing and testing of the items required are in compliance with ABS, ASTM, or the appropriate industry standard. 6) Any additional information such as product brochures, data sheets, websites (URLs), etc. Send submittals to: NAVFAC EXWC, Acquisition Dept.
