- This is a Sources Sought Notice / Request for Information, Pertaining to a Contemplated New Procurement to provide Interpreter Services for the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND EUROPE AFRICA SOUTHWEST ASIA (NAVFAC EURAFSWA). The purpose of this notice is to enable NAVFAC EURAFSWA to obtain preliminary information about the businesses that are available and capable of performing a contract which will provide interpretation services for a vast area in Europe and Southwest Asia. This notice is not a Solicitation and it does not seek the submission of formal binding proposals. In the event that NAVFAC EURAFSWA determines that these services will be procured, a formal Request for Proposal will be issued. NAVFAC EURAFSWA will not reimburse any organization for its time, effort, or costs expended in responding to this Sources Sought Notice. Under the contemplated new contract, the Contractor would provide Interpretation Services for NAVFAC EURAFSWA in the following areas and languages: Romania (Romanian), Spain (Spanish), Italy (Italian), Greece (Greek) and Poland (Polish). The expectation would be for the interpreter to travel to the country and provide interpretations in a classroom, conference, negotiation setting. There may be technical (i.e. electrical, engineering, construction, etc) or US Government terminology which will need to be interpreted.. The NAICS code for this effort is 541930, Translation and Interpretation Services. The anticipated period of performance is three (3) years inclusive of a base period and two (2) one year option periods. Based on the nature of the requirement, Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity contract, from which individual Task Orders could thereafter be issued, would best suit agency needs. Interested parties should submit the following: 1) Sources Sought Questionnaire; by 17:00 (5pm) on Friday, January 29th 2016.
