This is NOT a solicitation for quotes. This is only a Sources Sought to see if any other vendors can meet the requirements The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting a sources sought to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Small Business, HUB Zone 8(a), Women-Owned, or small disadvantaged business concerns; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. Small businesses concerns shall be capable of provide the necessary products stated below. The NAICS code is 811219 (Size Standard: 500 employees) DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT: Subject: Maintenance Service Contract for Sterrad Sterilizers. NCO 7, Birmingham VAMC is seeking potential sources to install provide Maintenance and service on the following equipment at Birmingham VA Medical Center, Birmingham, AL. Equipment and options/accessories serviced and maintained for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 700 19th Street South, Birmingham, AL 35233. A.Sterrad 100S 10101 Peroxide Sterilizer (plasma) Sterilizer. EE # 23763, Serial # 10101006062. B.Sterrad NX System Sterilizer (plasma). EE # 53367, Serial # 0033110942. C.Sterrad NX System Sterilizer (plasma). EE # 53368, Serial # 003110965. D.Sterrad 100NX 10104 Sterilizer. EE # 59435, Serial # 1041130340. ? Interested parties may submit their product literature for consideration via email: Lynette.Lane2@va.gov. Responses received on or before 5:00 PM EST, February 4, 2015, will be considered. POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE: 1) Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail address, NAICS code(s), business size (i.e., small/large) and DUNS Number. 2) Provide a Statement of Capability that demonstrates the offeror's past performance in providing this type of service. Please include the following: (a) staff expertise including their availability, experience, and formal and other training; (b) current in-house capability and capacity to perform the work; (c) prior completed projects of similar nature; (d) corporate experience and management capability; and (e) examples of prior completed Government contracts, references, and other related information. NO CAPABILITY STATEMENTS MAY BE SUBMITTED AFTER February 4, 2015. AT THIS TIME NO SOLICITATION EXISTS. (DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION).
