Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified Small Business Construction Contractors interested in providing offers for the refurbishment of the ATCT at Forbes Field Municipal Airport. The general scope of work is as follows: Remove existing EDPM membrane roofing systems on the tower cab, walkway and the base building and install new 80 Mil PVC membrane systems on the tower cab, walkway and base building. Waterproof and refurbish the tower and base building. The construction site is located at the FAA ATCT, 6700 SW Topeka Blvd #696, Topeka, Kansas 66619 This is an operational air traffic control facility and the Contractor must exercise extreme care working in and around the electronic and environmental equipment. This will be a Small Business Set Aside Procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237990 and the Small Business Size Standard is: $36.5 Million The estimated price range of this project is between $150,000 and $300,000. Contract performance time is 75 calendar days from notice-to-proceed. The contractor is expected to perform at least 15% of the work using its own employees. There will be only one pre-bid/site visit, held during the week of February 22, 2016, at the Forbes Field ATCT. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFER MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO GO CRITERIA: a. The contractor must have successfully completed (3) similar projects both in dollar amount and scope, on a Life Safety Critical Facility such as a hospital or a similar FAA facility, during the past (5) years b. The contractor must have delivered a quality product in the timeframe established by the contract. The contractor must provide the name of the facility where work was performed, contract number, along with a point of contact at the facility and telephone number. This information MUST BE submitted with the request for specifications and plans. The Solicitation Package is expected to be available the week of February 8, 2016. CONTRACTORS MUST SUBMIT THEIR REQUEST FOR THIS PACKAGE NO LATER THAN NOON (CDT) BY FEBRUARY 4, 2016 AND COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE THREE ATTACHED DOCUMENTS: 1. DOCUMENT SECURITY NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS 2. BUSINESS DECLARATION 3. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR THIS SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE. Solicitation packages will be provided only to the first 10 requestors. Contractors must provide name of company, physical mailing address, telephone number and email address.
