United States Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit - Providence Replace Maintenance Building Windows at USCG ANT Bristol in Bristol, RI Solicitation: HSCGG1-16-S-BRISTOL_WINDOWS SOURCES SOUGHT: This is NOT a solicitation for proposals. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. It is ONLY a market survey/request for written information only. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise related to this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking interested vendors with successful past performance as well as current relevant experience including personnel, equipment, capability and bonding capacity to replace the windows in the Maintenance Building at U.S. Coast Guard ANT Bristol in Bristol, RI. The project includes the following tasks: • Replace all exterior windows in the two-story building, comprising o Approximately 15 1st deck windows o Approximately 16 2nd deck windows o All ancillary work • New windows must be hurricane resistant, aluminum clad, mostly double-hung, one over one • All windows will operate except for the one round fixed window The estimated value of the procurement is between $100,000 and $200,000. Bid, payment and performance bonds will be required, as appropriate. The performance period is approximately 140 days after award (110 days for admin/prep/submittals/order lead time and 30 days for on-site construction). The U.S. Coast Guard is considering setting aside an acquisition for this work to one of the following types of business concerns: • HUBZone Small Business concerns • Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB) concerns • 8(a) certified Small Business concerns • Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business concerns • Small Business concerns The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238350, Finish Carpentry Contractors, which has a small business size standard of $15M. In accordance with FAR Part 19, if your firm is one of the above small business types and you intend to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail to the primary point of contact. Your response should include the following: (a) Positive statement of your intent to submit a bid for this solicitation as the prime contractor (b) Statement identifying your specific certified small business status (c) Evidence of bonding capacity to the maximum magnitude of the project, to include both single and aggregate totals, and (d) Evidence of having successfully performed similar work to include contract names/reference numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers. The Government will determine an appropriate set-aside based on information received by the response date (5 February 2016).
