- Clarification: The services that will be procured via this solicitation will be performed on the Island of Niihau. The Island of Niihau is a privately owned island off the western coast of Kauai. Access to the island is restricted and must be granted by Niihau Ranch LLC in order to provide any of the services. This prospective contract will provide labor, materials, and equipment related to services on the island of Niihau at the following sites: AN/SPS-7373 Radar Site, Electronic Warfare Threat Simulation Perch Site, Electro-Magnetic Environmental Systems Simulator Site, and other sites supporting training and test operations. The services to support the specific instrumentation sites consist of: grounds maintenance; pest control; facility maintenance, to include corrosion control and custodial services; road maintenance and repair; the supply of fuel and oil to maintain generator and day tank; solar panel batteries inspection and maintenance; maintenance and repair for government furnished equipment; labor, transportation and materials to support requirements such as: generator change outs; surface and ground transportation to, from and around Niihau; helicopter support for logistics; fire watch and fire fighting support; and services required to support specific training or test operations.
