- Description
- The Southeast Regional Maintenance Center intends to issue a request for proposal (RFP) on a full and open competition basis to solicit sources capable of supporting a Dry-dock Selected Restricted Availability (DSRA) to include fleet modernization and repairs to hull, mechanical, electrical, electronic, equipment and components, as well as an extensive tank assessment and preservation package on USS FARRAGUT (DDG 99). Offerors must have or be able to obtain a Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) by the time of award. This synopsis is for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or any Government commitment. The Government will not reimburse interested parties to this notice for any costs associated with responding or subsequent information exchanges. Future announcements will appear on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at https://www.fbo.gov, which interested parties should monitor for updates. In accordance with 10 U.S.C. 7299a(c)(1), the "Homeport Statute", this procurement will be competed among offerors capable of performing the work in the Mayport homeport area. Market Research was conducted from 04 January 2016 - 20 January 2016, and this solicitation will not be set aside for small business. The Small Business representative provided concurrence on 03 February 2016. The Government expects to post the RFP on or about 17 March 2016.
