Description

This is a sources sought notice, not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this notice is for market research purposes; to gain knowledge of potential qualified small businesses. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used by the Government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this notice. This is not a request for proposal and no contract will be awarded from this notice. The VA Palo Alto Heath Care System, Menlo Park Division, will be issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a construction contract to a General Contractor for Project 640-14-124 Renovation for Homeless Outreach Program. The project is to renovate and upgrade the existing single story building 348 to accommodate the Homeless Outreach Program. Work includes demolishing approximately 20,000 square feet of existing administrative and living space (walls, doors, dividers, finishes, casework, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and controls, and other specialized equipment) and renovating this space into new administrative areas, support space, and living units. All work is to take place in a stand-alone building on the functioning campus. The location of this work is at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, Menlo Park Division, 795 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The estimated duration of the project is 14 months. Project is one phase. NAICS code is 236220 with a small business size standard of $36.5 million. All interested small businesses: service disabled veteran owned small businesses, veteran owned small businesses, woman owned small businesses, 8A small businesses, etc. should respond to this notice in writing by email by February 18, 2016 at 1 PM Pacific Standard Time. Information received will be used in any set aside determination. Interested businesses shall respond to the following: 1.Company's name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, DUNS number and socio-economic category. 2.Company's interest in bidding on the solicitation when issued. 3.Company's bonding capability (construction bonding level per contract and aggregate construction bonding level, both expressed in dollars) via letter from bonding company.
