Description

Statement of Need: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Health Resource Center (702) Payroll department currently utilizes two (2) Lektrievers, which are vertical carousel filing machines, for storing various payroll documents. The Payroll department has a need for another Lektriever for additional filing space. Workforce Management (WFM) has one (1) Lektriever it is willing to give to HRC Payroll. The Lektriever needs to be transported from WFM's current location (Townsite Plaza) to Payroll's location (HRC West). In order for the transport to occur, the Lektriever must be disassembled prior to transport, transported to the new location, and reassembled at the new location. Payroll must have access to the Lektrievers in order to effectively and efficiently operate. Kardex is the manufacturer of Lektriever filing machines. It only allows authorized dealers to service its products. Heubel Material Handling is the authorized dealer for the area. Due to this condition, Heubel Material Handling must be used as the vendor for this requirement
