Description

SYNOPSIS DESCRIPTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center, 4100 East Mississippi Avenue, Suite 900, Glendale, CO 80246 intends to solicit sources to enter into one or more firm-fixed price indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts to provide Pathology Laboratory Services for the VA Cheyenne Health Care System. The contractor(s) shall provide all management, personnel, security clearance, space and equipment necessary to perform pathology services as stated herein. Services shall be performed at either the contractor's place of business, or on the premises of the Cheyenne VA Medical Center in Cheyenne Wyoming. The services will include but not limited to; All routine anatomic pathology specimens from the VA shall be placed in a designated location at the VA Medical Center for pick up by Contractor personnel at regularly scheduled times. All specimens must be accompanied by an appropriately completed surgical pathology requisition. Routine surgical pathology and cytology reports shall be available within two days after pick up from the VA and final autopsy reports shall be available within thirty (30) days, except in cases requiring special procedures. Frozen sections performed on specimens obtained at the VA Medical Center shall be performed at the VA Medical Center facility. The solicitation package will be available for download on or about February 8, 2016, and proposals shall be 30 days after the issuance of the solicitation, and no later than 4:00 p.m. mountain time. The applicable NAICS code is 621511 with a small business size standard of $32.5 Million. This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The solicitation reference is VA-259-15-R-0509 - Pathology Laboratory Services - VA Cheyenne Health Care System and should be referenced in all correspondence/inquiries. The location for service to be provided is as follows: VA Cheyenne Health Care System, 2360 E. Pershing Blvd, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001. All information for this solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at www.fbo.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided. Any amendments to this solicitation will be available at this website and offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments to this solicitation at this website prior to the time of responding to the solicitation. Any questions pertaining to the solicitation must be provided to the contract specialist, in writing within 7 days of the posting of the solicitation, at either Ronnie.Jones@va.gov or the physical address listed herein to be considered for a response.
