Description
Request for Quotation No. A16PS000263 as follows: 1. To include Questioned Asked and the Governments Responses. Questioned Asked: 1.How much of the floor needs to be coated? 2.What type of product is being specified for the job (Oil product or acrylic.) 3.Is replacing old wood part of the job description? Governments Response: 1. The Urethane System is one part water based urethane/acrylic wood finish 2. The coating will be approx. 7,680 sq ft. more or less 3. There will be no replacing of any wood parts. Questioned Asked: 1. Does the floor need to be sanded to raw wood? If so, how much of the floor needs to be sanded? 2. Is there any wood that is sticking up causing a trip hazard? 3. Does wood need to be removed? Governments Response: There should be NO sanding on wood Questioned Asked: 1. Is the floor a "Poured Urethane floor"? If so, which type? The roll-pour is a composite synthetic flooring system that includes a prefabricated, fully adhered rubber basemat sealed with polyurethane. The top resin layer of self-leveling polyurethane is fluid-applied. This system is coated with a two-part pigmented polyurethane with game lines and graphics applied. The full-pour system consists of a base layer of fluid-applied resin and rubber, and a top pour of polyurethane self-leveling elastomer, to form a seamless, durable surface. The thickness of the top layer can vary to meet specific specifications. The system is finished with a two-part pigmented polyurethane coating, specifically designed for indoor sports. Game markings and intricate graphic designs can be applied for a complete custom design such as school logos and images. 2. Would it be possible to upload pictures of the floor? 3. Does the school know what what product and/or brand is on the floor now? 4. Is there a spec /data sheet for the product you want? There are different Urethanes. 5. Will markings need to be reapplied to the floor? Governments Response: 1. No it is not a Poured Urethane Floor. 2. Yes Photo attached... the photo is several years old... I believe when the floor was first installed maybe. 3. The floor used the Urethane sealer when it was sealed some years ago... so there would be no change in the sealer. 4. I do not have personal knowledge of the spec sheet or what the brand name is.... I'll do some checking but may not have an answer today... but sometime Thurs morning would be a better answer for specs 5. No the markings to the best of my understanding do not need to be reapplied... 2. The offer due date is still set for February 4, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. Gallup, NM time. ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAINS THE SAME IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT.
