Description
I. Introduction. This sources sought announcement is for informational purposes only and does not represent a solicitation announcement. It is not to be construed as an obligation on the part of Washington Headquarters Services /Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD). In order to proactively plan for future requirements, WHS/AD is conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced, and interested large and small businesses (e.g., 8(a), service-disabled veteran owned, HUBZone, small disadvantage, veteran owned, and women-owned) concerns capable of providing Customized Orientation and Training Seminar with follow-up support to the Secretary of Defense Corporate Fellows Program (SDCFP). Please see the attached summary Performance Work Statement which outlines the overall performance objectives. II. Background. Each year, senior officers from each Service are selected to spend a year in Corporate America at leading edge businesses observe, participate in, and learn corporate best practices in such areas as, business processes and organizations, utilization of information technology, long-range planning, innovation, and change management that could be implemented to transform DoD. SDCFP Fellows form a cadre of future, more senior, Service leaders sensitized to the organizational and operational opportunities made possible the revolutionary changes in information and other technologies. Each incoming group of new Corporate Fellows requires a pre-assignment orientation and training seminar to educate them on current long-range strategic issues, political-military issues, DoD practices, defense budget issues, emerging technologies, and other issues that could lead to significant new defense capabilities in the next decade. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications from capable Women-Owned small business concerns. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD) to the ultimate acquisition approach. No contract will be awarded from this announcement and requests for solicitation will not receive a response. No reimbursement will be made for any cost associated with providing information in response to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents is strictly voluntary. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is NAICS: 611430 Professional and Management Development Training. At this time, no solicitation exists. This range for the acquisition is from $50,000 to $500,000. II. Instructions If your company is an interested business that has the capability to perform Customized Orientation and Training Seminar with follow-up support, please send the capability statement to the following contact listed below: Contract Specialist, Kimberly Darby via email to kimberly.h.darby.civ@mail.mil. Respondents may email questions of this notice by Friday, February 12, 2015, 1:00PM (EST). Responses must be submitted no later than Thursday, February 18, 2015, 1:00PM (EST). Capability statements will not be returned. Please provide the following information: 1. A brief three to five page synopsis of similar work performed. 2. DUNS and CAGE Code Number. 3. Company name and address. 4. Company Point of Contact, phone number and email. 5. NAICS codes associated with the company. 6. Socio-economic categories associated with the company (i.e., 8(a), SDB, WOSB, VOSB, etc.) 7. Identify contracts your company has been awarded under NAICS: 611430 Professional and Management Development Training. Additional information on NAICS codes can be found at www.sba.gov. 8. Specific examples of prior efforts same/and or similar to Customized Orientation and Training Seminar with follow-up support as outlined in the attached summary Performance Work Statement. 9. Recommended/suggested NAICS codes for this effort and recommended contract type. 10. Number of contracts currently held with the Government to include any Federal Supply Schedules listed under GSA Advantage. 11. Point of Contact, phone number, and emails of individuals who can verify the demonstrated capabilities identified in the responses. 12. Highest Facility Security Clearance held. 13.Respondents must submit documents in Word or PDF format. Neither zipped files will be accepted nor telephone requests be honored.
