Description

LOC Digital Transitions Solicitation: QS-LCCIO16Q0078 - 20 pages The Library of Congress (LOC) requires a Digital Transitions BC100 Book Scanner System that feature the following: 1) Rare Book Module 2) Digital Transition DTRCam 3) Schneider large Format Lenses 4) Capture One Cultural Heritage Software The system shall also contain the following: - FADGI 4 Star Imaging Performance - Capture One Cultural Heritage Software - LAB based evaluation of FADGI approved targets - LED lighting - Light/illumination correction - Cameras shutters rated at 1-2 million activations (Clicks) - Helical Focus Mechanism - Minimal focal drift - Adjustable binding spread to accommodate book bindings of different sizes - Automate operator control over elevation and movement speed of cradle - Safety of Cultural Heritage materials against excessive platen/cradle pressure. The contractor must be a certified Phase One partner who will provide on site installation, training, maintenance, service, and support. LOC solicitation LCCIO16Q0078 is attached. Offerors should respond no later than the closing date (March 11, 2016) in accordance with the solicitation.
