- Description
- Synopsis The Defense Logistics Agency, Aviation intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract for E-2/C-2 logistics support of landing gear and component repair requirements at the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) in San Diego, CA to the Original Equipment Manufacturer ( OEM) for the E-2/C-2 T ype Model Series (TMS) aircraft and current producer of the E-2D. The landing gear components to be supported through this acquisition include the E-2/C-2 Nose Landing Gear (NLG) Drag Braces, E-2/C-2 NLG Strut Assemblies, E-2/C-2 Main Landing Gear (MLG) Drag Braces, and E-2/C-2 MLG Strut Assemblies, henceforth referred to as E-2/C-2 landing gear components. The outcome of this requirement is elimination of work stoppages during the E-2/C-2 Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI) and optimization of production line efficiency to enable the Navy to meet or exceed landing gear component repair requirements.
