- Eglin AFB hereby announces its intent to lease a portion of parcel Section 31, Township 1 North, Range 22 West, on Eglin Air Force Base, for the nonexclusive use of approximately 46.91 acres of Eglin Air Force Base property for the purposes of operating and maintaining a public park and recreational area for the joint benefit of the Air Force and the public. Eglin AFB has received a request from a local government agency and the 96th Test Wing Facilities Board gave conceptual approval to the prospective Lessee. The Lessee will pay fair market value for the parcel which is to be used for the purposes of operating and maintaining a public park and recreational area for the joint benefit of the Air Force and the public, and no other use. Notice is hereby given in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2667 (h)(1)(a). This notice will close on 21 February 2016.
