- The purpose of this notice is to determine potential small business firms and to determine the feasibility of a small business set-aside for this potential requirement. This is not a Request for proposal, but sources sought for information and planning purposes only. The proposed contract is potential small business set-aside procurement. The small business size standard classification is NAICS 333244, Printing Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing, (500 employees). Maine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH), Kaneohe HI, is seeking sources for a company to provide a wide format laminator for MARFORPAC. This solution is to provide 1 each Wide format laminator with the following minimum specification for a Wide Format Laminator. The minimum specification includes the following features: Item Characteristics: - Maximum media width of a least 61" - Maximum speed of at least 20 ft/min (6 m/min) - Capable of manual nip-adjustment for precise operation - Maximum nip opening of a least 1 ½" (38 mm) for processing a wide range of substrates - Include a foot switch for hands free operation - Include a comprehensive safety system (self-checking safety eyes and emergency stops). Warranty: 1 year parts. Six months labor and rollers. Power Requirements: 1N/PE 230VAC +/-10% 50/60Hz, 50A. Inclusive Items and services: -Delivery and Installation - Include synchronized in-line slitters - Include cooling fans. VENDORS / MANUFACTURERS OF THE WIDE FORMAT LAMINATOR MUST COMPLY WITH DFARS 252.211-7003 ITEM UNIQUE IDENTIFICATION AND VALUATION BY ENSURING A UID TAG IS AFFIXED TO THE WIDE FORMAT LAMINATOR. Responses should include the following: 1. A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation; 2. Company CAGE code and DUNS number as identified in your SAM registration; 3. Information on your proposed wide format laminator; 4. Warranty information; 5. Power requirements; 6. Delivery and installation; 7. Information that the wide format laminator complies with DFARS 252.211-7003 Item Unique Identification and Valuation and that a UID Tag will be Affixed to the Wide Format Laminator, and Companies interested should provide the above wide format laminator brochures & documentation by email (preferred) or fax to the Primary Point of Contact listed below. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested concerns. Responses shall be limited to 10 pages.
