- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This is for a market survey only; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis and no contract shall be awarded from this synopsis. The U.S. Air Force, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base (SJAFB), has been tasked to identify potential sources, market capabilities and market conditions for the acquisition of ACCES communication earpiece kits. Interested and capable commercial sources are being sought to determine the level of interest to produce the required kits which include the following pieces. Kits include the Westone Laboratories brand or equivalent: 1-Vented Earpieces (Westone Part # AXAMK), 1-ACCES Communication cable ( Westone Part # 79802), 1-O2 Communications Cable (Westone Part # 79830), and 1-Storage Case (Westone Part # 79210). This is not a solicitation for bid, but a solicitation may be issued at a later date. Any resulting solicitation will be posted electronically to this site. The North American Industry Classification System is 334290- Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of members of both the Small Business Community, to include Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business's (EDWOSB) to compete for this requirement. All submittals received will be reviewed for informational purposes. The type of solicitation to be issued will depend upon the responses to this sources sought synopsis. The Government must determine and ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of interested, capable commercial companies.
