Description

The Contractor shall provide 2,000 copies, 6-1/2 X 9-1/2 or comparable size, black and white with color illustrations and in color hard cover update to the Los Angeles District history covering the time period of January 1, 1966 through September 30, 2015. The published history update should be no less than 350 pages and no more than 400 pages perfect bound plus color hard cover and formatted to be posted as an electronic publication. The Contractor shall perform all research necessary to prepare in a scholarly, professional manner the 50-year update (1966-2015) of 'A History of the Los Angeles District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 1898-1965,' a published history of the Los Angeles District. The history update shall be composed of a topical narrative presentation with appropriate illustrations, footnotes, bibliography, and appendices. The narrative shall be comprehensive, analytical, and balanced. It shall be written in a clear, crisp style attractive to the general public, and reflect the careful research and thought necessary to find acceptance in the scholarly community.
