- Description
- The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island plans to procure Radar Electronic Units (REUs) and Mast Mounted Assemblies (MMAs) which are components of the Fire Control Radar (FCR) of the Apache Attack Helicopter (AH) model 64E. The Government plans to procure this requirement sole source from Longbow Limited Liability Company (LBL), 5600 W Sand Lake Road, Orlando, FL 32819-8907, Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code 04WF2 in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) and (B), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. LBL is the designer, developer, manufacturer, and design control activity of the AH-64D/E FCR system, and is the sole source contractor currently providing the REU and MMA to the AH-64E. LBL possesses the technical expertise, data, and experience necessary to execute this requirement. The Government plans to utilize a Firm Fixed Price, Requirements Type Contract with five one-year ordering periods. This procurement is for the production of an estimated quantity of 253 REUs, and an estimated quantity of 93 MMAs.
