- FERC-16-X-0012 Rock erosion PWS_Draft.doc FERC-16-X-0012 FERC-16-X-0012.docx This is a sources sought notice only. This is not a solicitation announcement. No contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement, and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up requests. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is performing market research to identify potential vendors that may possess the capabilities to support FERC's requirement for rock erosion technical services to the update a section of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) "Engineering Guidelines for the Evaluation of Hydropower Projects, Arch Dam Chapter", which provides guidance on the evaluation of the risk of arch dam failure due to rock erosion, as outlined in the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541330. The requirement is to provide rock erosion technical service in the field of engineering or geology and the use of 3D computational fluid dynamics in rock erosion studies. Interested parties may submit a brief capability statement, no more than five (5) pages, demonstrating how they are capable of meeting this requirement. The FERC is particularly interested in capabilities of small business, veteran-owned small business, Hubzone small business, small disadvantaged business and women owned small businesses concerns Capability statements should respond to all items requested in this notice. Standard brochures and/or paraphrasing of the PWS will not be considered as a sufficient response to this notice. Feedback and/or evaluation information will not be provided to any firm regarding their individual capability statements. Telephone calls, facsimiles, and/or requests for a solicitation will not be accepted or acknowledged. The capability statement should include the following: (1) Name of business; (2) Contact information (address, telephone, facsimile, e-mail, website address); (3) DUNS number, business size and classification; (4) a GSA contract number and period of performance (if vendor has GSA contract that fulfills requirements of the draft PWS); (5) Technical description of ability to meet the requirement (description should address technical competencies, and organizational experience relative to the draft Performance Work Statement); (6) Discussion of any potentially significant organizational conflicts of interest; (7) Any comments or concerns regarding draft PWS. Businesses shall submit electronic copies of their respective capability statements to Jeffrey Martin at jeff.martin@ferc.gov, no later than 4 March 2016.
