- This is a sources sought notice and does NOT constitute a solicitation. The U.S. Government, Rock Island Arsenal, Joint Manufacturing Technology Center (RIA-JMTC) is conducting a market survey of industry to identify sources that are interested in full filling requirements for the following need for laboratory testing of a foam rubber specimen. 1) Service Contract- Foam Testing. Service Contract to Test Foam for 7 various required specifications including the following: a. Foam; test water absorption in accordance with ASTDM 1056 b. Foam; test flammability in accordance with FMVSS- 302 c. Foam; test flammability in accordance with UL 94 d. Foam; gas analysis per ASTME 800 e. Foam; density testing in accordance with D1622 f. Foam; tensile/elongation testing in accordance with ASTM D412 g. Foam; compression deflection testing in accordance with ASTM D1056 2) RIA-JMTC will provide the foam samples and bear shipping costs to the contractor's facility. Vendor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) under URL" https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/#1#1 Sources interested in responding to a solicitation for the above requirement are invited to indicate their interest by providing a brief summary to the Government on their ability to provide the material listed above. Please indicate the following information in your response. 1. Your ability to provide the service listed above with lead time. 2. Your company name and CAGE code/DUNS number. A point of contact, name, email, and phone number. This information shall be submitted to Carrie Spurgetis, carrie.a.spurgetis.civ@mail.mil. Please respond no later than 17 February 2016. All information collected from this market survey shall be used for planning purposes only. Do not mistake this sources sought as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the government. The Government doe not intend to award a contract based on this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. Please identify and prooprietary information submitted. All information submitted will be held in a confidential status.
