- Special Notice / Announcement of VIRGINIA Payload Tube Facility Availability The Naval Sea Systems Command’s (NAVSEA) Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT), in support of the Program Executive Office Submarine (PEO SUB) VIRGINIA Class Program Office (PMS 450), announces its intent to make the VIRGINIA Payload Tube Facility (VPTF) available to the US Department of Defense (DoD) user community beginning on the date of this announcement. VPTF, part of the Undersea Warfare (USW) Launcher Laboratory Complex located at NUWCDIVNPT, was constructed to support tactical and operational development, test and evaluation of payloads and payload systems. Information about the VPTF may be found at http://www.navsea.navy.mil/Home/WarfareCenters/NUWCNewport/WhatWeDo/Detachments/VirginiaPayloadTubeFacility.aspx. The VPTF will be made available to qualified industry users under a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) or Work for Private Party Agreement (WFPP) as determined by NUWCDIVNPT. This Special Notice announcement is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. This is not an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quotations (RFQ) or a Request for Proposals (RFP).
