- RFI Instructions The specific purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is for the U.S. Department of Education to obtain information on effective ways to procure, implement, and provide ongoing support for an electronic faxing solution that will enable documents faxed from any fax machine around the world to be converted to an electronic format and sent to Government email accounts. Please note that this RFI is not directly connected with any of the RFIs released in conjunction with the EDUCATE re-compete. Note that an interested party's election not to respond to this RFI will not result in their exclusion from any future RFI and acquisitions. All interested parties are highly encouraged to respond. The Department is not responsible for any costs associated with the development of RFI responses and there is no guarantee that a solicitation and award will result from this RFI.
