Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate ONLY with Steris Corporation under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(2) for the preventative maintenance services on the following equipment because they are the only responsible source that can provide preventative maintenance and repair parts for the referenced sterilization system: ? EE # 40964, Serial # 030630804. ? AMSCO CENTURY V?160H Steam Sterilizer. EE # 49339, Serial # 031970923. ? AMSCO CENTURY V?160H Steam Sterilizer. EE # 40965, Serial # 030630805. ? AMSCO 400 SERIES 16 Small Steam Sterilizer. EE # 57999, Serial # 031851318. ? AMSCO 400 SERIES 16 Small Steam Sterilizer. EE # 57998, Serial # 031841312. ? Reliance Synergy Washer Disinfector. EE # 42120, Serial # 3633007007. ? Reliance Synergy Washer Disinfector. EE # 42119, Serial # 3632607002. ? Reliance Vision Washer Disinfector. EE # 54387, Serial # 3602312022. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS: The system and all its components shall be compliant with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements to market and deliver medical products for use in the United States of America. The claims made for the product shall comply with the regulations of the FDA with respect to products for marketing and delivery of a medical product for use in the United States of America. The system and/or components shall be installed in compliance with OSHA requirements. ANTICIPATED AWARD INFORMATION: The anticipated period of performance is (1) year with (4) 1-year optional performance periods. The award will be made in accordance with FAR 13.5 and award is anticipated on 25 Feb 2016. A FIRM FIXED PRICED solicitation and/or order is anticipated. FOR INTERESTED SOURCES: All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responses received within 10 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
