- Sources Sought and Qualification Information to Support a Brand Name Requirement for Jeep J8 Tactical Vehicles – Addendum Draft PWS SUBJECT: FA4890-15-R-0019; Sources Sought and Qualification Information to Support a Brand Name Requirement for Jeep J8 Tactical Vehicles - Addendum 1. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. The Department of Defense, United States Air Force, Air Combat Command (ACC), Acquisition Management Integration Center (AMIC) is issuing this sources sought (SS) synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the capabilities to support a potential Brand Name requirement for Jeep J8 tactical vehicles and related equipment, spares kits, special tools, ancillary equipment, and recurring and related training and services. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. This SS does not constitute a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. This synopsis does not commit the AMIC to contract for any supply or service whatsoever, and at this time, no proposals are requested. 2. This effort is to procure a brand name item and no other supplies or services will provide satisfactory or cost efficient substitution. The acquisition will be conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(c). 3. Please submit any questions or concerns with the requirements described in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) to the Contracting Officer at james.robinson.54@us.af.mil and the Contract Manager, Ms. Shiran Zerach, at shiran.zerach@us.af.mil by 18 February 2016, 1:00 p.m. EDT. The Government plans to consider all information submitted in response to this SS and use the Internet and e-mail as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging information. 4. Again, please be aware that this SS is issued for informational and planning purposes only. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. AMIC is currently conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources. The information requested by this SS will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside of the government.
