Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Army Contracting Command-Redstone proposes to acquire on an other than full and open competitive basis 56 Reduced size Crashworthy External Fuel System (RCEFS) fixed A-Kits (PN: HM029-552-121) and 56 Internal Auxiliary Fuel Systems (IAFS) A-Kits (PN: HM025-500-81). The Government plans to issue a firm fixed price delivery order against an existing indefinite delivery indefinite quantity firm fixed price contract which was issued as a sole source requirement to Robertson Fuel Systems, L.L.C. (Robertson), 800 West Carver Rd. Suite 101, Tempe, AZ 85284-5264, Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code 1T765. Robertson is the only source capable of manufacturing the RCEFS, its components. A technical data package for full and open competition is not available within the Government for this procurement. Under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 (a) (2) (ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
