- SYNOPSIS : This synopsis was posted under synopsis number FA9101-15-B-0001. Due to the magnitude of changes to the Government's Scope of Work, this requirement is being synopsized under new requirement. Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), Arnold AFB, Tennessee has a requirement that consists of providing all materials, equipment, and labor to replace 104 existing windows in accordance with specifications and drawings, Building 760, Arnold AFB TN. The work includes providing all materials, equipment, and labor for the removal of the existing window units and replace with new blast resistant and standard, double pane, insulated, laminated glass, metal frame, window units. Work is to be done at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. Major items of work include, but are not limited to, the following: A. Selective demolition of approximately 104 existing window/frame units. B. Lead/Asbestos removal (treat adjacent surfaces of windows as containing lead/asbestos) C. Installation of approximately 32 new blast resistant (to comply with UFC4-010-01) and 72 standard window units, frames, and associated sealants, flashing, and hardware. D. Other incidental tasks and repairs to exterior and exterior finishes necessary to complete the work as required by the specifications and drawings. E. A site visit will be held on March 3, 2016. F. The statement of magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. Liquidated damages will be assessed for late performance. A one-year Warranty of Construction will be applicable to this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAlCS) code for this project is 236220 {Commercial and Institutional Building Construction). The Business Size Standard is $36,500,000 in average annual receipts for the last three years. A complete solicitation package, which includes the project plans and specifications, will be made available only through the FEDBIZOPS website on or around February 29, 2016 at https:fbo.gov. No hardcopies faxes or emails will be available. The solicitation will be a Sealed Bid FAR14, with Lowest Price Technically acceptable without technical. Please register a source to be notified of IFB Amendments, Clarifications, etc. However, it is the responsibility of the contractors even those registered as a source) to check FBO website frequently to ensure they have all available information. Any prospective contractor shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https:www.sam.gov/prtals/sam/#1) data base prior to award of a contract or agreement. The performance period for this project shall be up to 161 calendar Days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is set aside 100% for Service Disabled Verteran Owned Small business (SDVOSB). A firm fixed price contract award is contemplated through IFB, sealed bids. The government will not reimburse any interested parties for monies spent to provide a response to the subsequent solicitation notice.
