Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research purposes. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing). The Department of Veteran's Affairs is seeking offerors of the following or of functionally equivalent equipment to the Alcon Centurion Vision System which provides emulsification of cataracts for cataract procedures. The machine uses Active Fluidics (as opposed to gravity fluidics) which allows the programming of intra-ocular pressure in order to maintain a safe environment for the eye. Interested sources are requested to submit an email delineating qualification, capabilities, and experience for providing this or a functionally equivalent product. Please include your business size with your submittal. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. Responses are to be submitted by e-mail to Daniel.rasmussen@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 3:00pm Central Standard Time on February 17th, 2016.
