Description

NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego intends to issue a sole source contract in accordance with FAR Part 12 to the Corporation for Educational Network Initiatives in California (CENIC), 16700 Valley View Ave. STE 400, La Mirada, CA 90638-5830. The proposed contract action is for the annual subscription that provides connection to the CalREN, CENIC HPR, CENIC DC, Internet2, National Lambda Rail (NLR) and other high performance research and education networks. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. CENIC was found to be the sole provider of this network subscription in the United States of America. No other company is known to provide this type of compatible network subscription. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available. The NAICS code is 519130 and the applicable business size is 500 employees. Interested parties shall submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement via e-mail. Requests must include company name, address, POC name, telephone number, fax number, county, CAGE Code, DUNS number, NAICS code, applicable business size, and Tax ID number. Responses are due by Wednesday, March 16, 2016 12:00 PM, Pacific Standard Time, via email. If no responses are received, FLCSD will proceed with the sole source award.
