- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, RI intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price purchase order for 7 (ea.) Dip Loop Shipping Containers to be manufactured in accordance with Government drawings and specifications. Required delivery is (1) First Article Dip Loop Shipping Container, 8 weeks after receipt of order; (6) Dip Loop Shipping Containers, 8 weeks after acceptance of first article. FAR Part 13 procedures will be used. This requirement is solicited on an unrestricted basis. NAICS code is 325211. Size standard is 750 Employees. The drawings/specifications will not be exhibited to all due to restricted distribution statements. In order to access the drawings/specifications, the company must be registered in the Joint Certification Program (JCP). For information regarding JCP registration go to http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/. A link to the drawings/specifications will be available in FedBizOpps upon release of the solicitation and only those companies that are JCP registered will be able to access the drawings/specifications. This notice is a synopsis and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it is not a commitment by the U.S. Navy to procure subject items. Additional information will be provided upon the release of solicitation number N66604-16-Q-0672, which is expected to be on or about 4 Mar 2016. The closing date for receipt of proposals will be established in the solicitation. The Government intends to award to the eligible, responsible offeror who offers the lowest price technically acceptable. The specific technical evaluation criteria will be outlined in the solicitation. All timely offers will be considered. Offerors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) ( https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ ) to be eligible for award. Instructions for registration are available at the website. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to FedBizOpps. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor FedBizOpps for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
