Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to award a contract as a result of this announcement. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the expense of interested party. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this website for additional information pertaining to this requirement. INFORMATION PROVIDED HEREIN IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND IN NO WAY BINDS THE GOVERNMENT TO SOLICIT OR AWARD A CONTRACT. The objective of this effort is to obtain fully qualified V/UHF Low Profile Tunable Antenna (Antenna) and Logic Converter Units (LCU) and associated technical integration support in the H-1 aircraft. The LCU must be capable of interfacing between the ARC-210 radio and the Antenna. The LCU shall be able to terminate and validate control signals from the radio, translate radio tuning commands for the antenna and provide the required drive signals to tune the Antenna. The LCU shall contain built in diagnostic facilities (BIT) to monitor input data, PSU status, internal health monitor and output drive lines. The Antenna shall be designed for general airborne applications within the V/UHF frequency range and shall be able to be tuned by an external LCU. The Antenna shall maintain the same form factor and platform mounting configuration as the AS-3972/A currently in use. The Antenna shall be able to provide normal operation while under flight conditions. Additional technical requirements for this RFI are available via a PDF document only to United States Government Agencies and their Contractors upon request. To request the document please send your company name, mailing address, CAGE code and point of contact information (name, phone number, and e-mail address) to: Heather Klasmeyer at heather.klasmeyer@navy.mil. Please also copy the following when e-mailing: Jeanette Moronta, jeanette.moronta@navy.mil; and Jesus Godinez, jesus.godinez@navy.mil. An e-mail confirmation of your request will be sent upon receipt and a second e-mail to include the attachment referenced in this RFI will be sent upon verification of requestor's information. The H-1 Light Attack Program (PMA 276) is the acquisition program office conducting market research. This program includes information that has been designated as "Distribution D" and is only releasable to current and approved Department of Defense (DoD) contractors. In addition, the program may require procurement effort in certain critical technologies/data that are not releasable to foreign firms under the U.S. Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) protecting national security."
